Copywriter and editor based in Oklahoma City.
Currently tending the word-fields at a Fortune 500 tech company.
I’ve always been writing.
Even when it wasn’t a writing-related job, I was the guy tasked with putting the words together. The quality of my work got noticed, and it was work that I always enjoyed.
Now I’m lucky enough to do it every day, for all sorts of different projects.

Jura Capresso ENA Micro One Cappucino Machine Hayneedle.com
What's that, Jura Capresso ENA Micro One Touch Cappuccino Machine?
You want to make me perfect cups of espresso in the size of my choice, and also let me choose the aroma level, too? And you'll gently grind the beans fresh for each cup before you brew it, and you'll store the beans underneath an aroma-saving cover? All this and you won't even take up that much space on my countertop?
Do you know how much I love you?
A latte.
When people ask you if you bought the Dexton Lamborghini Murcielago 6-Volt Riding Toy for yourself or your child, you don’t need to answer them.
You're a Lamborghini owner now.
At ¼ scale of the original car, this 18-lb ride-on replica is faithful to the details of its big brother, down to the alloy spoke wheels, hexagonal engine cover, air intakes, and Lamborghini badges. While you're enjoying the shape, your child will love zooming around at a breakneck 2.5 mph on the rechargeable 6V battery. Is Your Business Contributing to E-Waste?
for CDR Global
Asset Value Recovery Can Help Reduce It.
The world produces an astonishing 50 million tons of electronic waste annually, yet only 20% of it is being recycled, according to the United Nations. This is a severe problem for our planet, as e-waste often has toxic substances like lead and mercury that can harm both the environment and human health. Fortunately, Asset Value Recovery (AVR) offers a solution.
AVR involves refurbishing or recycling assets to restore their original value, maximizing their lifetime value while minimizing associated costs. The refurbishment process includes repairing and upgrading electronic devices such as computers, laptops, and tablets, while recycling breaks down end-of-life assets into parts to be separated by material and recycled. With the refurbished market for laptops and computers expected to grow to over USD 12 billion in the next 8 years, now is the time for businesses to take advantage of AVR.
All Creatures (or Containers) Great and Small
for Western Industries Corporation
Think of a box. Any box.
Got one? Good.
Chances are, the box you’re thinking about is probably mid-sized, right? Somewhere between a shoebox and a classic, two-foot, cube-shaped moving box. If you were playing the Family Feud you’d probably do pretty well, because the most typical box sizes are somewhere in that range.
At Western Industries, however, we don’t do much that’s typical. When our customers come to us, it’s because they’ve got something that’s outside of the norm.
Everything You Wanted to Know About Rocky Road Ice Cream
for Braum’s Ice Cream and Dairy Store
Rocky Road rocked the world of ice cream. Before imaginative mix-ins were regular features at ice cream parlors, there wasn’t much excitement on the menu. Thanks to Rocky Road, ice cream lovers were inspired to add flavors and textures to basic ice cream flavors.
Unsurprisingly, the history of Rocky Road is a little bumpy and has its share of controversy.
What is Rocky Road Ice Cream?
Rocky Road is a chocolate-based ice cream flavor mixed with chopped almonds and marshmallow pieces. While most Americans are familiar with Rocky Road ice cream, many are unaware that it was originally inspired by a brownie-like dessert also called Rocky Road.
Museum Exhibits
When cultural institutions wanted to share their stories, I worked alongside their stakeholders to create engaging, educational content that is still in use today.
Some of my clients include:
Here’s a sample from the Seminole Nation Museum’s permanent exhibit:
Everyone has different traditions for mourning the deceased, and the Seminoles observe this serious time through a mixture of Christian and Seminole traditions. Like many other parts of Seminole culture, these traditions are always evolving.
Before the Seminole people were removed to Indian Territory, the deceased were buried with their feet facing towards the east, and their body was placed beneath the floor of the family’s home.
In more recent times, the body of the deceased is placed in a grave in a family plot, but their feet still face to the east. A grave house, also called a spirit house, is constructed above the grave. Personal objects that were important to the deceased are sometimes placed inside the grave house, as well as food that is traditionally prepared for the funeral service. Grave houses usually have an opening, sometimes diamond-shaped, at either end of the structure.
Copy Editing
It’s not always about my words.
I’ve also been a copy editor for educational publications, helping scholars and subject matter experts put the final polish on their ideas.
Gettysburg Magazine
Copy editor for a leading journal of Civil War scholarship.
Museum Administration 2.0
Served as part of a content and copy-editing team for a staple of Museum Studies scholarship.
Long- and Short-Form scripts
From pre-production to post, I’ve brought my talents to a variety of video productions.
From scripting to on-set advising, directing talent and contributing in the edit bay, I’ve worked side-by-side with my team on some pretty interesting and exciting projects.
An Evening With The Nemesis
A Paycom Exclusive Webinar starring Wayne Knight
I was on the scripting team that created a 45-minute, client-only webinar starring Wayne Knight as “The Nemesis”, an original character used in nationally televised commercials and social assets.
Short-Form Video Concepts and Scripting
Concept and scripting short-from content that include web series, sizzle reels, promotional spots and communications for both internal and external audiences.
